Today, joy was easy to choose and it lasted for most of the day.
I went furniture shopping with my Mom and Dad (more on this adventure in my "Christmas Vacation" post) and I got to watch the two of them have so much fun going from room to room, picking out the things that will make their new house a place of comfort and beauty for the rest of their lives. It's been a long time since I've seen them truly joyous and not worrying about what will happen next spring when the rains come...
That's my Dad checking out one of the chairs that my Mom picked out for her new reading room. The chair is her favorite purchase.
