Today, I saw my parents' new post-Katrina home for the first time. It's been three long years in the making, but it's finally becoming a reality. They're just a few days from moving in - the contractor is doing all the finishing work now.
My joy today was seeing the happiness, excitement, anticipation and relief in my parents' faces as they showed me around the house that they'll live out the rest of their lives in.
It was quite a moment.
